Stinky Wizzleteat - Butterscotch Crucifixxx - Carnage Klub (2012)
Stinky have been around for a while now, they’ve had a couple of line-up changes, they’ve always been “around” but now they seem to be exploding back on to the scene again with a new EP “Butterscotch Crucifixxx”…….and it’s GREAT!!!
As mentioned above they’ve had a couple of changes over the years but, I guess, the most radical is dropping the vocals altogether. Listening through the tracks it really seems to have ushered in a new age for Stinky.
The whole record is sludgy and thick but also tight and shows these dudes can really play their instruments. The drums drive everything a long, at a fair speed in places, and the single guitar manages to fill any space for vocals (or other instruments for that matter).
I can see big(ger) bright(er) things in Stinky’s future so keep your eyes peeled!
You can stream the whole thing and make your own mind up here :
